husband Jay. Ruth & Tom now live on a farm near Shamrock. Their house
is surrounded by ninety beautiful acres. "I hope to have more time to write the
many stories I wish to tell about the many wonderful animals I have been
privileged to know throughout the years," says Ruth.
The Charlie the Pony series is a labor of love for Ruth. The author penned her love of horses and ponies into this absolutely delightful series of children's books. Ruth wrote Charlie the Pony in memory of her dear pony Charlie who was a part of her family for more than 25 years. Artist Lynn Degen's illustrations fit perfectly with the flow of the story and dialogue. The illustrations show the character's and animal's thoughts and emotions beautifully.
